Ferrari has officially announced a special research project FXX K, model-based testing LaFerrari hybrid supercar, and will debut next weekend at Yas Marina Circuit racetrack in Abu Dhabi.
The "K" in the name of the project is only the phrase "KERS", which refers to the kinetic energy recovery system. Ferrari said the FXX K not bound by any normative racetrack and will never be used for fighting. In fact, the FXX K is developed completely in order to break the limit, show the innovative technologies that help bring technical experience unprecedented speed before, favored for the customer group is special.
The FXX K very low height of only 1.116mm, 2.650mm wheelbase, length and width 2.051mm 4.896mm. Designed as a unique door but looks LaFerrari FXX radical K is perfect aerodynamic performance. Compared with the commercial version LaFerrari, the FXX K have some upgrades in the V12 as finishing camshaft, commutator load, structure control valve, exhaust systems. HY-KERS system was developed specifically to maximize the pure strength. The driver can control the various mode settings through 4 Manettino on center console: "Qualify" for maximum performance with a limited number of the loop; "Long Run" to optimize endurance; "Manual Boost" helps generate maximum torque immediately; and "Fast Charge" intended for fast loading of the vehicle power adapter.
FXX K using the Pirelli P-Zero slippery surface, size 285/650-R19x10.5 at the front wheels and 345/725-R20x13 at rear. Notably, the tire also comes with various sensors such as accelerometers vertical, horizontal and vertical, temperature sensors and pressure. This helps to get the exact data analysis between the tire and the surface of the track, providing crucial data allowing traction control system complete maximum operating power for the car.
